Sterling Silver, Pearl and Black Onyx Cuff Bracelet...
I have been busy trying to design some jewellery.
Here is my first attempt at making a cuff bracelet.

IIt is so BITTERLY COLD here today!

I cannot seem to get warm! I have my little electric blow heater at my feet, and down stairs I have the gas heater on full heat, lol
And, still... I am freezing! The wind feels like it is blowing off of snow somewhere...that is how icy the air feels outside! Brrrr!!!

My favourite seasons are Spring & Autumn... Winter and Summer are too extreme for my 40 year old bones LOL
I am getting old and feeling it every day, LOL

Here are some rocks that i purchased from the Sydney Markets...

The other day, I went to the Sydney Markets, and I came across these Rocks. I could not hardly pass them by, could I?? LOL
So, yeah... I snapped them up!

Anyway, the Wire wrapped Amethyst is made from one of the rocks I purchased from the Markets

My First Sterling Silver Wire Wrapped Amethyst...

Well, I know it is not as good as I had hoped it would be, but I kinda still like it, lol
I need to try and get the scratches and that out of the wire from what my tools did to it. For a first attempt, I guess it turned out ok? But, I know that I can do better... so I will put this down to a learning curve, lol

Brace for economic storm, warns Kevin Rudd

KEVIN Rudd has warned Australians to brace for tough economic conditions as he refused to rule out a recession driven by what he described as the most uncertain global financial conditions in three decades.


Times are looking gloomy, I wish the economy would pick up...and pick up soon! It is depressing watching everything go up in price all of the time, and seeing people lose their jobs... it is sad.

I was just reading the news online, and it appears that our Prime Minister: Kevin Rudd, thinks we might be heading for a recession.

KEVIN Rudd has conceded that the Australian economy is slowing and that the worst global economic conditions in 30 years could spark job losses and a recession.

It is no secret that the world economy has been struggling for some time now (I don't know anything about financial stuff....but, it is pretty clear to see that we are in for some stormy times ahead).

How do you think this will effect our jewellery making? Is this going to make it a lot harder to sell things? People won't have that extra cash flow will they... to buy jewellery? Or will they? I hope we don't head into a recession, but people have been losing jobs left right and center over here. And with petrol going up all the time and groceries always going up...everything is going up all of the time. The cost of living has sky rocketed severely (in my view it has anyway).

I welcome your feedback on your views, from whatever part of the Globe you are from?
Are you finding it tougher to get by on the day- to- day way of life? I know that I don't drive as much as I used to... to try and keep my petrol usage down a bit.
