A Very Good Morning to one and all! I hope that you are all doing well...

I ordered some Premo Clay last Thursday (Today is now Sunday... 5.05am!) lol
I should receive my order by tomorrow or Tuesday! Woohooo!
I cannot wait for it to arrive! I want to try my hands at making some canes and deisns with silver leaf through the clay.... I will be sure to post what I make...when I make it.

It's been a while...

Hello there everyone...

Well, it has been a while since I last made a post in my blog, so I thought I had better make some kind of effort.

I have just placed an order for a little bit of Sterling Silver wire and 10 metres of copper wire (It should arrive tomorrow).

I am still looking for the best price on Premo clay (hoping to find it at wholesale prices).

I am eager to get creative... I have been browsing other blogs and websites and forums.... trying to get the inspiration that I am needing to get myself motivated, lol

My Very First PMC3 Pieces

My Very First PMC3 Pieces....

The ring is so comfy, and I know that the pieces look kind of rough... but it was my very first effort. I was just kinda playing with it to see what it was like to work with. Now I got the feel for it, next time should be much better.
The pendant.... not really sure if I will keep it together like that, or maybe seperate them and have two separate pendants?
My wire wrapping on the ring is 'atrocious'!

I just wanted to make a post to say HELLO.

Has anyone watched the Olympics lately? I think it is terrible the conditions that surrounded the Sailing yesterday. It is no wonder why so many boats capsized. The smog was so thick!
I had trouble seeing the boats! I can only 'imagine' how the different competitors must of been feeling in that race. Terrible conditions. They need to have another race... with better conditions.

Just my 2 cents worth!

I have been busy trying to design some jewellery.
Here is my first attempt at making a cuff bracelet.

IIt is so BITTERLY COLD here today!

I cannot seem to get warm! I have my little electric blow heater at my feet, and down stairs I have the gas heater on full heat, lol
And, still... I am freezing! The wind feels like it is blowing off of snow somewhere...that is how icy the air feels outside! Brrrr!!!

My favourite seasons are Spring & Autumn... Winter and Summer are too extreme for my 40 year old bones LOL
I am getting old and feeling it every day, LOL

Well, I know it is not as good as I had hoped it would be, but I kinda still like it, lol
I need to try and get the scratches and that out of the wire from what my tools did to it. For a first attempt, I guess it turned out ok? But, I know that I can do better... so I will put this down to a learning curve, lol

Brace for economic storm, warns Kevin Rudd

KEVIN Rudd has warned Australians to brace for tough economic conditions as he refused to rule out a recession driven by what he described as the most uncertain global financial conditions in three decades.


Times are looking gloomy, I wish the economy would pick up...and pick up soon! It is depressing watching everything go up in price all of the time, and seeing people lose their jobs... it is sad.

I was just reading the news online, and it appears that our Prime Minister: Kevin Rudd, thinks we might be heading for a recession.

It is no secret that the world economy has been struggling for some time now (I don't know anything about financial stuff....but, it is pretty clear to see that we are in for some stormy times ahead).

How do you think this will effect our jewellery making? Is this going to make it a lot harder to sell things? People won't have that extra cash flow will they... to buy jewellery? Or will they? I hope we don't head into a recession, but people have been losing jobs left right and center over here. And with petrol going up all the time and groceries always going up...everything is going up all of the time. The cost of living has sky rocketed severely (in my view it has anyway).

I welcome your feedback on your views, from whatever part of the Globe you are from?
Are you finding it tougher to get by on the day- to- day way of life? I know that I don't drive as much as I used to... to try and keep my petrol usage down a bit.

Hi there everyone...

As most of you would know I haven't made anything cause I haven't really had the supplies to do so.

But, in saying that... I had some Dyed Red Coral & Black Onyx Beads, and also some black artistic and silver wire (which I am not quite sure if it is Sterling silver or just plain silver wire? I got them mixed up, lol

Anyway... I know it isn't neat.... But, i just wanted to fiddle with some wire and beads. I guess I am just trying to see what this kind of design looks like in preparation for when i get more wire etc.

Anyway, here is the picture of it. (I haven't added a bail to it yet, I thought it might make a nice pendant? That is of course when I practice a bit more, lol)

Another Day....

Another day has passed, and I still have no Jewellery to show you. That is because I haven't made any, lol. I wish that the price of silver would come down... and gold prices too, for that matter! lol
I cannot wait to get my tax return back, I have a lot that I want to buy when that comes back.

My passion I think is with making jewellery with the wire wrapping technique. But, I also want to get into Polymer clay, PMC etc. There are so many medias out there to try. I guess, i can just take it 'one step @ a time'... I get so frustrated with myself. I hope that I find a job soon, that would sure help alot right about now so that I can get up and running.

I want to make a business out of selling hand made jewellery.... and i am somewhat impatient with myself, cause it is taking forever for me to get started. I am currently researching for the best suppliers out there etc.
I have some pictures of some earrings that I made earlier this year, but I am not all that happy with them. Maybe I could post some pictures later of them? I dunno, i will see... lol

Porscha is a huge part of what makes me... ME. She was my 'other little girl'... she was a huge part of our family, and losing her at such a young age, is hard to come to terms with.
